Molecular Simulation Research Chair (Tenure-Track)
Lakehead Universitys Biorefining Research Initiative (BRI) was established
to create a world-class centre of excellence dedicated to developing
transformative technologies and products from forest biomass.
The Chair will utilize Lakehead Universitys high performance computer
modeling and imaging facilities to conduct cellular and molecular level
research for the conversion of biomass to energy, chemicals and other
high value products. This position is funded by the Shared Hierarchical
Academic Research Computing Network (SHARCNET) and the Molecular Medicine
Research Centre (MMRC).
Prospective candidates should have a PhD in chemistry, biology,
informatics, or a related discipline, be scholars who have achieved or
have the potential to achieve national and international recognition in
their field with a demonstrated track record of research success.
