If the 32-bit softwares can be installed into the 64-bit system?

Thank you for your  help.
By the way, I am in USA, My boss want me to buy a workstation.
Then I don't know if the 32-bit softwares can be installed into the 64-bit system of  XP or Vista.

不能！64位地址和32位地址的访问是不一样的！
即便是在linux有源代码的情况下，也需要对代码进行修改！
